Moonbug is a global entertainment company that creates and distributes fun and safe content for children which encourages healthy values such as compassion, empathy and resilience, while teaching fundamental life skills. We are a team of entertainment and technology experts with an ambition to redefine the kid’s entertainment industry in this new digital age. The company is headquartered in London with a newly opened office in Los Angeles.
We are looking for an enthusiastic junior designer with experience in designing and concept art work with a new well-funded company in the children’s entertainment industry. Candidates should be proactive, self-motivated and highly organized.
Candidates should have a degree in a relevant design field, and have some experience in designing for a client, ideally with childrens animation/illustration. You will be working with the creative team in London, working across Moobug’s preschool content.
Your role will involve but not be limited to:
- Designing and concepting artwork for animation - 2D and 3D
- Character design
- Background design
- Concept art for animation
- Visual development
- Writing and creating design/concept briefs for studios
- Building decks and pitch presentations
- Collaborating with interns, assistants, production teams and creative executives on creative projects
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in relevant design field
- Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite - a must!)
- Passion and knowledge of Children’s media!
- Creative adaptability and flexibility is a MUST
- Familiarity with animation processes would be a plus
- Great communication skills, collaborative with a positive can-do attitude and a good sense of humor
- Ability to work under pressure managing multiple tasks, and an interest in taking on real responsibility within a rapidly growing and dynamic start-up
- Comfortable working on numerous projects at the same time
- Can work to deadlines
