The Off-Cycle Internship is an opportunity to experience the culture and atmosphere in the Investment Management Division by taking on some of the responsibilities and functions of a Full-time Analyst for a short period. This internship will offer you an exciting and a dynamic work environment where you get to work alongside our diverse group of experienced professionals. The work that you do will be interesting and varied.
The successful candidate will join either one of the MSIM Management teams below and will assist the team across a variety of regulatory and strategic initiatives, as well as business management activities. This internship will provide a unique opportunity to get insights into the inner workings of a large Investment Management organization, and to network with investment and non-investment teams at MSIM.
- Product Management develops and, through active post-launch product management, maintain investment funds for MSIM's business outside of the US. The Team is broadly divided into a Product Development function, whose responsibility it is to define, develop and deliver products needed to support MSIM's strategy and a Product Management function, responsible for ensuring that the legal vehicle structures through which MSIM's strategies are being delivered continue to remain viable, compliant in terms of regulatory requirements and continue to meet the needs of our clients.
- Distribution Management work closely with Sales and are responsible for providing Sales reporting and oversight, as well as driving projects to improve the efficiency and efficacy of distribution activities, leading to better outcomes for our teams and clients.
- Office of the Chief Operating Officer supports the overall implementation and strategy for MSIM. It works closely with Investment Teams and supporting teams to further accelerate the business. Within the COO team, the Strategic & Regulatory Initiatives team ensures the project management of newly formed regulations and its implementation into the business. The COO division also focuses on ensuring maximum efficiency for MSIM, ranging from career/team networking opportunities to understanding how to best position the firm strategically within a continuously changing economic environment.
The internship will commence in the Jan 2025 and typically lasts twelve months.

Qualifications/skills/requirements
- You have graduated from university or able to take the time off to commit for a full time internship role for twelve months if you are currently in study
- You demonstrate a keen interest in the financial markets and Investment Management
- You are fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. An ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages would be an advantage
- You are adaptive, a leader yet team player, as well as a multi-tasker
- You can present your conclusions in a clear and well-structured manner
- You are analytical with excellent attention to detail and well suited to working within a small team environment
- You have good presentation skills
- Positive attitude, good attention to detail and time management skills
