Our Store People Managers have a really important role to play in supporting our 100,000 colleagues across 500 stores.  You can play a key role in working in the heart of your community with our People Management Graduate Scheme.

Right from the start, you’ll be working in one of our stores, learning how to run the people function while also gaining experience of how to be the Manager in charge of our overall operation. Along the way, you’ll enjoy structured training, the opportunity to complete a level 5 CIPD apprenticeship and earn a starting salary of £27,000.

Join our People Management Graduate Scheme, and you can enjoy an early taste of what that responsibility involves.

What you’ll be doing

Working as part of one of our busy store teams, you’ll get stuck into all kinds of people activities, seeing first-hand the vital role our people team plays and the big impact it has on performance. And after shadowing one of our existing People Managers, you’ll be given responsibility for managing people yourself.

As well as gaining hands-on experience in our stores, you could find yourself with the opportunity to work in one of our other people functions, such as manufacturing, logistics or central. You’ll be supported every step of the way by mentors, buddies, line managers and our friendly team.

And remember, our colleagues don’t work 9 to 5. So you won’t either. To thrive on this scheme, you must be happy doing early starts, late finishes and night shifts, and prepared to work weekends and bank holidays too.

The start of a great career

We’re confident you’ll find working at Morrisons rewarding, our team spirit is hard to beat! We celebrate individuals and their achievements, it’s all about getting stuck in, learning tons, and bringing what makes you special to make us better.

What you’ll need

As well as having a minimum 2:1 degree, you’ll need a real passion for people management along with great interpersonal skills and a collaborative, customer-focused approach. It’s also important that you are influential, self-motivated and results driven. You’ll be required to relocate at least once during the programme, so you must be mobile and willing to move around the country. A full UK driving licence is also essential.
