What you’ll be doing 

Over two years, you’ll work with different store teams, learning about our operations, systems, and procedures. It will involve you getting stuck into all kinds of new challenges and no two days will be the same. You’ll quickly move into running a team of colleagues where you’ll lead a department to deliver great service and availability every day for our customers. Along the way, we'll guide you to progress and become a future store manager. Day-to-day tasks that you will take on could include: 

• Ensuring the store is set up to the best standard to drive sales and make for a smoother customer experience 
• Leading teams to ensure that standards, regulations and laws are met while trading 
• Managing stores to ensure smooth operational running, and customer experiences 

Be at the forefront of making our customers feel welcome and ensuring they enjoy their shopping experience. You will get stuck into a variety of activities that will go beyond 9-5. Your role will involve early starts, late finishes and weekends, as well as working bank holidays and during peak times of the year. It’s hard work for sure, but it’s also very rewarding.

What you need to join us 

We are food makers and shop keepers, and together, we make Morrisons. You’ll need to be a great listener, communicator and a people person, whether you lead and encourage diverse teams or have a passion for food that you share with colleagues and customers. We also need you to be happy to move around the country growing your skills in different stores. A minimum 2:2 degree and a full UK driving licence and access to a car are vital for this scheme. Other key qualities we’d like to see include:
