We have nearly 500 friendly stores in our local communities across the country. We love providing over 9 million customers every week with good quality fresh food and a great shopping experience they won't find anywhere else. Join us on our Retail Graduate Scheme to make an impact on your community, and quickly develop all the experience and skills you need!
What you’ll be doing
Over two years, you’ll take part in four placements that focus on getting you ready to be one of our store managers. Your journey will begin in the store gaining invaluable experience across all store operations, then you’ll quickly move up into a Regional Managers’ project manager role where you’ll learn the store standards from the best. The third placement will be focused on gaining central experience in our Retail Support Office, Loss Prevention or Productivity teams. You’ll then be ready to take all your experience back to the stores as an Operations Manager! Over these two years, day-to-day tasks that you will take on could include:
- Ensuring the store is set up to the best standard to drive sales and make for a smoother customer experience
- Leading teams to ensure that standards, regulations and laws are met while trading
- Managing stores to ensure smooth operational running, and customer experiences
Be at the forefront of making our customers feel welcome and ensuring they enjoy their shopping experience. You will get stuck into a variety of activities that will go beyond 9-5. Your role will involve early starts, late finishes and weekends, as well as working bank holidays and during peak times of the year. It’s hard work for sure, but it’s also very rewarding.
Make good things happen
Our graduates get access to all our employee benefits, including a holiday buying scheme, contributary pension scheme, store discounts and MyPerks. This is a reward and benefits scheme that updates regularly with new and exciting offers. Here’s what could be available:
