The role

Our Structures Team in the Belfast office work on a wide variety of projects in the Built Environment Sector – health facilities, schools, colleges, fire stations, public buildings and transport facilities including airports and rail stations. The Belfast office is 1 of 3 principal offices on the island, and structural engineering resources are shared across the Belfast, Dublin and Cork offices, and other offices in the UK, particularly those in Scotland. The team in Belfast also collaborate with other offices on projects in sectors including Transport, Water, Energy and Advisory.

About you

You should be able to demonstrate your interest in Structural Engineering through relevant experience, such as studying relevant modules, or previous work experience.

We are looking for graduates with;

  • BEng or MEng in structural or civil engineering;
  • Methodical approach to problem solving;
  • Familiarity in the use of Eurocodes;
  • Ability to use your initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently;
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members;
  • Familiarity in the use of structural design software packages;
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail and be able to demonstrate accurate technical drawings and good report writing;
  • Aware of a range of BIM tools and appreciates the relative advantages/disadvantages.
