Overall purpose of the role

To assist the UK Compliance Controls Monitoring function in the performance of routine monitoring/control work relating to Natixis London branch, in accordance with the Compliance Control / Monitoring Plan.

Main responsibilities of the role

  • Assist in performing a system of the UK Compliance Controls designed to identify and monitor for non-compliance with French Banking Supervisory Authority regulation DECREE031114.Art11, regarding internal control.
  • Assist in the performance of a risk based UK Compliance Controls/ Monitoring Plan to identify and monitor for non-compliance with UK regulatory requirements. 
  • Assist in the undertaking of quality assurance reviews of the CPN1 framework and perform follow-up work, where applicable.
  • Assist the Head of UK Compliance Controls with aggregation of data and production of Management Information to various stakeholders within the Organization.
  • Where applicable, follow up on lapses in control and issues identified as part of the UK Compliance Controls and review work, producing reports of findings when required.
  • Assist London Compliance department in its general duties as required from time to time.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree or penultimate year student or equivalent
  • Proven interest in financial markets and/or risk management
  • Understanding of the UK/EU regulatory environment, FCA’s objectives, particularly related to market abuse; conduct risk et al
  • Excellent presentation skills - ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with members of the Compliance Department and other areas
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational, communication and presentation skills
  • Confidence in dealing with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to be effective under pressure
  • Enthusiasm and aspiration to learn and develop
