Newable is looking to appoint a Global London Export Adviser to join the team who will work to make a significant contribution to the export potential of London based businesses.

    Role Description

    The main purpose of the role is to offer bespoke business support and advice to assist London’s underrepresented businesses and entrepreneurs in developing the necessary skills to gain access to overseas international trade/export opportunities.

    You will need to have wide-ranging business support experience, have preferably run a business yourself in the past, be of graduate calibre, and have in-depth knowledge of the export process and skills to support clients to develop an international business strategy and export.

    A background of working with SMEs and the ability to demonstrate empathy for entrepreneurial culture and to build effective relationships at Board level are crucial.

    What You'll Do

    You will be a confident networker and be able to build professional relationships with other public and private sector business support providers and overseas commercial teams where appropriate. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.

    You should have experience of supporting SMEs at all stages of their life-cycle from early stage through to growth and succession.

    Responsibilities will include:

     

    • Develop awareness of the JP Morgan Global London Programme
    • Identify businesses to assist to become export ready
    • Use analysis tools to diagnose and assess client needs and provide tailored support to address these needs, including
    • Provision of information, diagnostics and brokerage
    • Acting as a strategic coach and mentor to clients
    • Assisting clients to prioritise issues and identify potential courses of action
    • Develop working relationships with local underrepresented groups
    • Advise businesses on the basis of the needs identified, to develop an international business strategy and, when appropriate, signpost to organisations better placed to provide specialist support
    • To act as a thought leader in the design and delivery of masterclass events
    • To organize and accompany client businesses on any overseas visits and inward missions

    To perform this role to our high standards, you must be people-focused, an excellent communicator, analytical and innovative, with excellent planning and execution skills. 

    Newable will require five years of references to be produced, alongside the completion of a Social Media Background check, prior to an offer of employment being produced.
