We have the opportunity for a Graduate Transport Planner to join our team at Align Property Services.
As a member of the transport planning team, you will work on a variety of projects in collaboration with our multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the growth and success of our transportation planning initiatives. Your role will involve establishing best practices, driving innovation, and ensuring the success of our transport planning projects.
You will provide support in the delivery of active travel concept and feasibility studies, as well as creating Transport Statements, Assessments, and Travel Plans. Additionally, you will check roundabout and junction capacity, provide preliminary highway design input, and arrange traffic count and speed data for a wide range of schemes.

To be successful in this position, you will
- Be educated to degree level in Civil Engineering, Geography, Maths, or an equivalent field with some post-qualification experience.
- Have experience in Transport Assessments/Statements, Travel Plans, Junction / Roundabout capacity modelling, high level junction and/or active travel concept/feasibility studies.
- Be familiar in using at least one of the following software: Autocad, GIS, ARCADY/PICADY, LinSig, microsimulation, etc.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Be knowledgeable in relevant UK guidance and standards.
- Demonstrate a high standard of ethics and professionalism. This includes ensuring the safety, reliability, and ethical considerations of your designs and decisions.
- Will work towards membership with TPS /CIHT.
- Be IT proficient, including the use of Microsoft packages
- Hold a full UK driving license.
