What does the role involve?

As Graduate – IT Governance & Risk, you will join our Group IT team who build market-leading digital applications and products and provide IT shared services to our diverse business units and group functions. During the two-year programme, you'll spend time in several key business areas, including, Risk, Controls Process, and Information Security, and will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects in each area, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to develop yourself as a professional, and potential leader.

In this role, you'll support the delivery of IT governance to enhance, develop and comply with all corporate governance requirements.

What you'll do

Some of your key duties will include:

  • Producing information for internal / external auditing
  • Ensuring regulatory, compliance and internal policy statements and standards are adhered to
  • Undertaking security reviews of low/medium risk third party suppliers
  • Ensure an appropriate level of IT risk oversight is provided across Group IT
  • Complete reviews of Group IT's processes, focusing on LEAN and Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement into Group IT.
  • Providing knowledge of security best practices across HCUK
  • Undertake appropriate assessment of Group IT's risks and provide documented assessments

What are we looking for?

You'll have recently graduated and achieved a 2:2 or above in your chosen degree.

In an ever-evolving environment you will flourish by using your talent for spotting opportunities to make things better. You'll have the ability to navigate relationships using your interpersonal skills, think creatively, be adaptable and last but certainly not least, have a passion for learning.

We're also looking for a Graduate who can:

  • Work with and collaborate with others

  • Think differently and outside the box

If you happen to be fluent in Japanese, you'll have the opportunity to use your language in this role, however the language requirement is not essential.
