As a Junior Software Engineer, you will

  • Work on a highly technical and bespoke real time framework used for customer solution development and sold on licence to investment banks
  • Gain experience in financial software development, concurrency, and real time distributed systems
  • Opportunities in multiple languages and technologies
  • Lean towards C++ development
  • Expand the framework to include support for Python and Java

Key Qualifications 

  • 1-3 years' experience of, or familiarity with programming with object orientated languages
  • Desire to work across the full development lifecycle
  • Degree in Computer Science or another numerate/computer intensive subject
  • You are curious and enjoy learning new technologies

Additional Requirements

  • Development experience in any of Python, C++, or Java
  • Cloud tooling e.g., AWS (Amazon Web Services), GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
  • Continuous Integration/ Continuous Development e.g., Jenkins, Team City
  • Experience with development and deployment on Windows and Linux
  • Experience of developing and use of third-party application interfaces
  • Interest in financial markets
