Why Ocado?

Ocado is the world’s largest online-only, delivery-based grocery retailer. Our objective is to provide our customers with the best shopping experience for service, range and price. To achieve this, we have built a number of Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs): highly automated warehouses incorporating the latest automation, robotics and control systems. Building the CFCs and the automated systems powering them and overseeing their efficient operation is Ocado Engineering and Logistics Development – a skilled and dedicated team of engineers specialized in mechanical, electronic, design for manufacture, safety, civil, controls or automotive engineering.

Ocado Engineering works on extremely competitive commercial timescales. We pride ourselves on taking two years to deliver what our competitors can only dream of doing in ten. We work with the top consultancies and design houses in the UK and beyond– and our desire to achieve exacting standards and push the boundaries of innovation means we’re expanding our own capabilities too. We completed our first commercial deal – with UK grocery retailer Morrisons – in 2013 and have recently signed our first International deal.
