The role

Reporting to the Northern Supply Operations Execution Manager, the Graduate Supply Planner will work at our Doncaster site and run planning processes for the production of the site. The right candidate will ensure plans are produced in a timely manner to minimise any potential hit on service metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Continues review of supply plans to ensure right product mix on stock and service level targets according to SCR requirements
  • Create, schedule and release production orders for materials – cross functional
  • Monitor production performance against schedule – cross functional
  • Giving input to S&OP in terms of potential supply issues, capacity constraints
  • Weekly review on stock value/days
  • Ongoing improvements in planning process – Kanban, WIP stores, SS etc
  • Development of knowledge in terms of relevant SAP masterdata
  • Keep driving decrease of slow-moving inventory
  • Proposals of improvements of SAP masterdata
  • Responsible for KPIs: stock availability, stock days, OTIF
  • Responsible for material availability for production plans
  • To undertake structured and frequent review of inventory policies
  • Continuously drive towards optimising working capital, costs and service
  • Communication of availability to Sales, communicating ATP & agreeing lead times for export orders
  • Plan production lines efficiently in line with stock requirements and factory constraints
  • Effectively respond and resolve, where possible, performance and delivery issues
  • Supply Plan adjustments based on weekly review of month progress and order book
  • To contribute to the successful development of customer supply chain collaboration
  • Support other planners within the team.

Profile

  • The ability to understand supply chain & business operations
  • Previous experience within an office environment, preferably within production planning or manufacturing
  • Knowledge of MRP systems
  • System knowledge of SAP
  • Basic knowledge and experience of using MS Office tools
  • Excel proficiency
  • Service Oriented
