We’re looking for the next generation of talented undergraduates to join our team for an unforgettable 12-week internship. Our programme

  • Successful candidates will spend 12 weeks working with our technology teams.
  • You will be paid for the duration of your internship. The internship begins on Monday, June 6th and ends Friday, August 26th.

As one of our interns, you will gain a comprehensive introduction to our business. You’ll be assigned to a team and work on real-life projects that bring our products and services to life. On the job training and professional development will be provided to enable you to contribute to the business. You’ll also have direct access to a senior member of the team, as each intern will be mentored to help you make the most of the 12-week program.

Role and responsibilities

As a Software Developer, you will develop expertise in software engineering practices, working collaboratively with the development teams within the Content Program.

You will be helping Pearson create and maintain software systems that support he the production of digital learning content utilizing modernized, team-oriented software development tools and practices. This consist of Modern UX designs, Microservice Architectures and Assessment Services.

Interns will develop a broad knowledge of Software Development Process within the Content Program at Pearson, working with teams developing, configuring, and testing systems and tools utilizing a variety of technologies.

About you

  • We look for Students pursuing a STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with software development or relevant work experience. We also look for Students pursuing a degree in computer science, cyber security, software engineering, information security, engineering, or technology.
  • Students should also have a basic understanding of Cloud platforms, in particular AWS, Azure and/or Google. Experience in coding with Python or similar would be useful.
  • Students should be a ‘people person’, well-rounded and happy to take on new challenges.
  • A desire to learn and accept new challenges is important.
  • Graduation date between December 2022 and May 2024 and should be able to travel to one of our office locations.
