Summary of role

This role will provide direct assistance to the Trusts and Tax Director and Senior Tax and Accounts Manager.

Assistance will involve preparation of:

  • estate accounts
  • personal, estate and trust tax computations
  • HM Revenue & Customs forms associated
  • Various accounting reports for UK and overseas tax compliance matters

The successful candidate will receive appropriate training and also includes the opportunity to study for professional qualifications, such as ATT or STEP.

The firm operates a hybrid agile working policy allowing employees to work from home (or another UK location) for at least 50% of their time.  Individuals can also apply for other flexible working options either at the time of recruitment or during the course of their employment.

Essential and desirable criteria

The applicant must be enthusiastic and motivated to learn at a fast pace.  The applicant must enjoy working as part of a team and aspire to further their knowledge and ability for the achievement of the team’s strategic aims.

It is essential that the applicant is a competent user of business information systems and in particular a competent to advanced user of MS Excel.

It would be beneficial if the applicant has studied accounting, or accountancy, to a degree level with a course that will have included a UK taxation module or have suitable work experience.

The role may be suitable for a graduate recruit, perhaps eager to do STEP/ATT examinations.
