The purpose of the Graduate Leadership Programme role is to work within commercial functions across our main business clusters: Personal (Consumer) Health, Precision Diagnosis, Connected Care and Image Guided Therapy.

In this 2-year scheme, the first-year rotation will be within Supply Chain:

  • Supply Chain: Supporting the execution of supply chain processes within the UKI Health Systems Business. You will learn about our forecasting and planning processes which are key for meeting customer needs and business goals, and you will be able to support projects to drive continuous improvement in customer fulfilment.

The second-year rotation will then be in one of the following areas:

  • Business Marketing: understand and research a wide variety of markets and help devise strategies to best launch Philips' latest innovations, supporting finance forecasting process linking what’s happening in the market to our business performance and providing actionable recommendations to address this.
  • Sales: learn how to excel in the highly competitive world of business through negotiations with buyers and suppliers. You could be working in our health systems business (B2B) where you will be working with our cutting edge medical devices, or within our consumer health business, managing key retail accounts and projects, or in the Trade Shopper team creating memorable moments for shoppers on their purchase journey.
  • Service & Commercial Operations: support and lead projects to improve our customer experience within our service offerings.
  • Solutions: Contribute and be part of a team who focus on working in partnership, through the provision of innovative solutions with healthcare organizations to improve people’s lives. Every partnership is unique and tailored to meet customer needs. You may be working on customer facing projects or working on internal improvement projects to support commercial delivery.

The Philips Graduate Leadership Programme, which is designed to discover future business leaders and incorporate you into the Philips business where your new ideas and passion will shape the Philips business of tomorrow. You will have strong support networks with business managers, mentors and previous graduates. Your cohort will start in September 2022 and will be supported with a comprehensive personal development plan over the two year scheme.  As part of the programme you will be given a stretch project in another area of the UKI business.

Although you will be globally mobile, you will initially be based at our UK headquarters in Farnborough, Hampshire for the first 2 years.  You may occasionally be required to travel locally and sometimes abroad. Our headquarters in Farnborough is a vibrant and exciting (professionally and socially) place to be based and you will have the opportunity to network with the wider organization.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • Recent graduate in any degree (Bachelors or Masters)
  • Evidence of high performance background (for example through your academic and/or extra-curricular activities)
  • Evidence of leadership potential and you will have leadership ambitions
  • You will demonstrate a high level of energy, drive and passion in pursuing work objectives and a total commitment to achieving successful outcomes.
  • You will be adaptable and confident, enabling you to build strong relationships quickly, which will be key to your success. In essence, you will already be naturally demonstrating our behaviors of Customer First, Quality and Integrity Always, Team Up To Win, - Take Ownership to Deliver Fast and Eager to Improve & Inspire.
