Key Responsibilities

  • To standardise all structures, work, training, procedures & records in line with the factory H.A.C.C.P and lean manufacturing principles.
  • To continually improve quality performance against set Key Performance Indicators.
  • To facilitate the dispersal of all relevant quality information within the production streams.
  • To drive continuous improvement on raw materials working in conjunction with Supplier Approval Manager and Incoming Inspection team
  • Statistical Process Control: To minimise product variability and maximise product safety
  • Perform routine factory-based food safety /quality standards inspections including. Line Start up inspection, Fabrication Inspection, Foreign Body Inspections and GMP Audits
  • Auditing: Ensuring all areas are audited to 5S Standard and corrective actions are completed in a timely manner
  • Serves as an advocate for change and encourages this mind-set as part of day-to-day operations
  • Develop technical excellence within the production streams – coaching, developing, and mentoring all Team Members to ensure proficiency in Food Safety and Quality Standards e.g., Basic GMP, Allergen Control, Quality system procedures.
  • To adopt a zero-tolerance mentality towards our process and hygiene quality non-compliances using the “prevent a problem from coming back” mind-set.

What You’ll Need

  • Degree / Qualification in Food Science (or related subject) - 2.1 or above
  • Strong motivation to progress within a commercial organisation
  • Ability to collaborate well within supportive team environment
  • Structured, proactive thinking with communication skills to verbalise clearly & concisely
  • Self-starter with strong decision-making ability to prioritise & get things done
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc.)
  • Ability to demonstrate Pilgrim’s Food Masters values of Determination, Ownership, Sincerity, Simplicity, Humility, Availability and Discipline

Successful applicants will join Pilgrims Food Masters at our manufacturing site in Carrickmacross in an entry level Quality position in September 2022.

Backed by a broad onboarding programme and with a strong support network behind you, you will be directly involved in providing technical support to the production teams, ensuring current product quality & safety standards are maintained and enhanced where appropriate.

Working with the Production Management team to build relationships, develop trust and promote a quality first culture thus enabling the effective and sustainable transfer of Quality responsibilities to the site through a programme of education and training.
