About the internship
Joining Proxima as an 8 week summer Intern we aim to make your time with us as meaningful and interesting as possible. At its simplest, procurement consultants are there to help our clients spend well. As an Intern you’ll see the range of businesses we work for and learn procurement consultancy from real experts who deliver it daily in the field.
From day one you will receive a structured training programme through our case studies covering procurement knowledge and consultancy skills, along with coaching through your mentor and buddy, and friendly support from a range of Proxima people. During the internship you will shadow our client teams who work with global brand clients helping to identify improvements and cost savings.
As an Intern you will have a front row seat gaining a unique understanding of the inner workings of a business along with learning what it takes to build client relationships, understand an organisation’s needs, and help clients find innovative, cost effective and value-adding supplier solutions.
Our internship will give you the necessary experience and understanding of a career in procurement consulting. You will have the opportunity to meet with a range of senior management across the business and to understand the career paths available to you.
To join as an Intern at Proxima, you will need to be in your penultimate year at university and on track to obtain a 2:1. It would be an advantage if you are studying an analytical bachelor’s degree such as Supply Chain/Procurement, Engineering, Science, Business or Economics. We also look for candidates with problem solving ability, intellectual curiosity, and outstanding people and communication skills.
