Job description

The Production Team at St Marks Studios are looking for a production assistant for an exciting 12 month placement opportunity starting as soon as possible.  

This role will support all four of the main functions: logistics, operations, finance and internal team support. You will work closely with everyone from Producers, Creatives, Client Teams right up to Head of Production assisting with pre-production shoot logistics, maintaining team admin and assisting with on-site shoot running.  

On small shoots, you will work directly with the Producers to help deliver stunts and activations, stepping up into more responsibility. 

Day-to-day responsibilities

  • Hiring studios and production equipment 
  • Booking hotels and flights for cast and crew 
  • Attending production meetings and making notes 
  • Keep the production calendar up to date with shoot dates 
  • Managing returning all unused props from shoots, arranging couriers for props to client and storing kept props in the store cupboard 
  • Responsible for keeping the store cupboard orderly recycling or donating items that have that have become redundant 
  • Assist with writing production schedules and distributing them to relevant cast and crew 
  • Assist the Production Coordinator with typing and distributing call sheets and daily reports 
  • Desk based research for shoots including props and populating production decks 
  • Other duties from time to time as appropriate and subject to workloads.
