Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an eager Executive to join our lively, ambitious, and collaborative Programmatic team.

Reporting into the Programmatic Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of delivery for programmatic campaigns including set-up, optimisations, and day-to-day trading. Successful candidates will have a curious and inquisitive mind, an ability to find solutions when faced with challenges, and work well with others.

Starcom provide a full training program which includes direct access to all leading ad tech (Google, Amazon, The Trade Desk) and supplier partners. As you are exposed to all sides of the programmatic buying ecosystem, you will learn a diverse set of skills from strategy through to buying and activating digital media.

Team/Department Profile

Starcom’s Programmatic Team is an integral part of the wider Investment Department, which collectively represents the Agency, and their Clients, in the Media and Technology Marketplace. Our goal is to provide a tech agnostic approach that allows us to match client needs with world leading technological capabilities and innovative media delivery.

We work closely with Investment (Display and AV), Planning, and Digital, Data and Technology teams, influencing and informing the planning of programmatic campaign plans; ensuring they represent the best interests of our clients, maximising their trading efficiencies and ultimately driving business results.

We place great emphasis on the smartest application of the best technology, ensuring the smooth execution of all programmatic campaigns from brand through to performance. In one sentence: Starcom’s trusted and knowledgeable Programmatic team put technological expertise and capabilities front-and-centre of client solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Account Manager and another Executive in managing your brands programmatic activity.
  • Responding to, execute, manage, and optimise online biddable media campaigns for agency clients (e.g. exchange-based performance media, audience-based buying, brand awareness campaigns, etc.) both independently and in support of more senior members of the team.
  • Maintaining and organise campaign-specific materials.
  • Handling daily campaign maintenance, including internal questions regarding tracking and status of various campaigns.
  • Assisting in the development of client-facing campaign performance reports, providing insightful commentary, and using campaign learnings to inform strategic recommendations.
  • Managing the delivery of creative assets, insertion orders, campaign artifacts, and all relevant campaign documentation in preparation for campaign launch.
  • Traffic campaigns into technology platforms.
  • Demonstrating diligence, attention to detail, and adherence to the campaign QA process to ensure accurate campaign implementation, pacing and performance.
  • Generating and manage monthly billing and spend reporting.
  • Participating in regular knowledge sharing sessions to share and learn new strategies for optimising and enhancing campaign performance.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable interest in advertising and technology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office solutions, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.

  • Ambitious and eager to prove themselves within the programmatic field.
  • Previous digital marketing experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong analytical thinking and mathematical skills.
