Position Overview 

People and Development is driving the culture change here at Ralph Lauren, as such we are recruiting a People and Development Assistant who will support in the People Services team. In this role you will be providing a professional and comprehensive administrative and system support to the P&D, Corporate and Store teams covering the complete employee lifecycle and be the first line contact for all Retail Store Hire to Retire SAP queries.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Complete daily HR audits to ensure employee records are compliant
  • Obtain written references for new starters and respond to external reference requests in accordance with Ralph Lauren policy
  • Support the People Services team in any administration to produce offer letter and contracts of employment to new hires and any contract changes
  • Support the People Services team with general ER administration where required
  • Manage agendas, room bookings, IT support and refreshments for team meeting
  • Export regular reports and have the ability to present them in a coherent fashion
  • Supporting with the administration of the annual appraisal process by collecting and tracking appraisals and distribution of compensation statements
  • Manage the distribution of post coming into the department and issuing to the appropriate individuals
  • General administrative support to wider P&D team
  • Support in the collation of updates to organization charts
  • Ensure the safe disposal of confidential information

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • HR experience is not essential, however you must have a desire / passion to kickstart a career in HR
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workloads to meet deadlines
  • Action oriented and resilient with a pro-active approach to problem solving
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft office programmes including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Used to working with confidential information and must possess an ability to demonstrate discretion
