We have an exciting opportunity for a placement student to learn the role of a Production Controller – responsible for delivering our customer requirements in line with the Master Production Schedule (MPS).

What you'll do

As part of the placement you will learn:

  • Conducting administration preparation to support daily IPT programme reviews
  • Manage work order release and closure in line with MPS requirement
  • Deliver daily Lines of Balance for each Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) within their responsibility
  • Completing regular pitch walks to understand and communicate kit delivery in line with the build plan
  • Manage and execute a dedicated project (to be determined) to an agreed timeline
  • Support activities to drive maturity in processes aligned to continuous improvement.
  • Construct and implement standard work / work instructions, in line with the management requirements
  • Assist the Materials Manager and Production Lead in preparation for management and senior reviews

Personal characteristics / qualifications

  • A related engineering/materials/project management degree
  • Good influencing skills and ability to cope under pressure
  • Responsive to change working in an environment of continuous improvement
  • Demonstrable use of SAP and Excel (or willingness to learn)
  • Highly motivated with excellent written and verbal communication skills
