The Civil Engineering team fully embrace this philosophy by providing a comprehensive range of civil engineering design, procurement, coordination and project management services to support clients through the whole project life cycle; offering a full multi-disciplinary service or standalone specialist technical services for projects in excess of £100 million in value.

The Ridge Civil Engineering team has particular expertise in highways design for roads, pavements, bridges, Section 278 Agreements and in earthworks engineering, cut and fill assessments, remediation, underground services, flood alleviation, sustainable drainage systems, pumping stations, sewerage and external works.

We have a requirement for a Graduate Civil Engineer with aspirations to join Ridge and Partners, become a valued member of the team and gain Chartership with our support.  

Role and Responsibilities

As a Civil Engineer you will benefit from on the job learning experiences whilst working on prestigious projects. covering a wide range of disciplines in property and construction, including the opportunity to work on international projects.  You will be responsible for assisting in the provision of a wide range of civil engineering services under the direction of a Team Manager including the following, with the opportunity of working with the structural engineering team, to:

  • Building relationships with Clients on projects
  • Assisting with the preparation of documentation relating to projects
  • Preparing design calculations, drawings, specifications, reports and other project documentation as required
  • Participating in the resolution of technical issues

Experience and Skills Required

To apply for this role, will hold a MEng/MSc in Civil Engineering and have an understanding/awareness of:

  • AutoCAD and in particular Civil 3D
  • Highway and drainage section agreements (38, 278 and 104)
  • Flood risk assessments and sustainable drainage systems 
  • Demonstrate the desire and drive to becoming Chartered which will be fully supported by the company.
