A position as an Analyst in our London team offers an opportunity to work on high profile transactions across a range of industries; exposure to senior RBC professionals and clients, often including CEOs and CFOs of large companies; and on-going training and mentoring with a focus on your continued career development.
Following a formal orientation and training programme in both London and New York/Toronto, you will take on responsibilities associated with equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, and other financial advisory assignments. These include assisting with transaction execution and pitch book preparation, generating financial models and analysis for valuation purposes, and drafting marketing documents such as Information Memorandums for financings and sell-side assignments.
Developing your knowledge
Successful Analysts use the experience to develop their knowledge of the capital markets and to learn from colleagues that represent some of the best and brightest people in the industry. Analysts are eligible for promotion to Associate after their third year.
We look for diverse individuals with outstanding academic records, proven analytical skills, a demonstrated interest in finance and a history of participation in extracurricular activities. Other essential qualities we look for include strong oral and written communication skills, proven leadership capabilities, initiative, and the ability to play a key role as a team member in a fast-paced and challenging work environment. Fluency in a second European language is not required but would be an advantage.
