As a Logistics Supply Officer in the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, its your job to make sure the Ships Company are enabled, to include catering services, are fully equipped and have full stores support. In short, you’ll be a key enabler of all Logistics activity. You’ll lead and manage your department to meet Command goals. Whether you’re sourcing vital supplies from local contacts or submitting essential reports back to HQ.

The role

  • You’ll have considerable responsibility from day one. From coordinating stores and catering services, to managing supplies and personnel administration, you’ll ensure the ships company can perform to the best of their ability.
  • You will also be involved in Solid Support activity, ensuring the Royal Navy and Royal Marines have what they need to sustain operations. 
  • Travelling the world will provide you with the professional challenge you are looking for. That might mean liaising with local authorities to secure essential stores or communicating with colleagues in the UK to resolve issues.
  • Additional responsibilities will include undertaking the role of Damage Control Officer, IT security and Data protection (with appropriate training if required).

What you'll need

  • You’ll need a Level 6 degree and GCSE Grade C or 4 in Mathematics and English Language or Scottish equivalent examination
  • If you have a Level 6 degree or GCSE qualifications issued from outside the UK you will need to get these assessed by NARIC. For further information please visit their website
  • Applicants must be British, Irish or Commonwealth citizens. However, a number of career paths have nationality restrictions
