As a key member of the Water Infrastructure Team at RPS, your role as Graduate Engineer is critical to helping us deliver great projects for our Water Industry clients. You will be working alongside a team of water project experts including Project Managers, Designers, Site Supervisors, Process Specialists and MEICA experts on a range of capital delivery projects.

What you’ll be doing

  • Working within a large team of Project Managers, civil engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers, health and safety specialists, drainage modellers, environmental specialists, and geotechnical specialists.
  • Understanding/or managing site surveys of existing water and wastewater infrastructure assets.
  • Liaising with utility companies and other statutory bodies.
  • Preparing conceptual, schematic and detailed design of water and wastewater infrastructure assets including treatment works, pumping stations, sewers and pumping mains.
  • Assisting with preparation of Appraisal Reports and Business Cases,
  • Assisting with preparing contract documentation for construction projects.
  • Assisting with Project Management of construction projects.
  • Engaging in design team meetings and client liaison meetings.

Who we’re looking for

  • BEng/BSc/MEng Honours degree in a relevant engineering course
  • Good communication skills and ability to engage with all members of the project team
  • You should demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team sharing knowledge and best practice.
  • A full driving licence
