Your role in team
- Supporting senior Quantity Surveyors in the delivery of commissions across all stages of a project.
- Assisting with cost planning, estimating and budget management for a variety of construction schemes.
- Preparing tender documentation and analysing contractor bids under guidance.
- Carrying out site visits and helping monitor project progress, valuations and variations.
- Contributing to the preparation of reports and attending client meetings to build confidence and communication skills.
Individual duties
- Assisting with the measurement and quantification of materials and works from drawings, specifications and site visits.
- Gathering and reviewing supplier quotes to support cost comparisons and procurement decisions.
- Logging and tracking variations to the contract scope.
- Attending design and coordination meetings to gain exposure to project development and understand how design changes impact cost.
- Assisting in preparation of order of cost estimates and cost plans throughout the design stages.
- Supporting the analysis of tender returns and contributing to tender reports.
Skills and requirements
- Quantity Surveying Graduate or relevant degree.
- Aspiration and drive to work towards RICS.
- Valid UK Driving licence.
- Ability to work under own initiative and within a team setting.
Knowledge of
- MS 365 and Teams
- Good IT literacy
