About the team

RSM’s Technology Consulting team is one of the fastest growing parts of our business with a strategy to become the leading provider of business systems and digital consulting services to the middle market. Our practice provides the following:

  • IT and digital strategy.
  • Cloud application architecture and selection.
  • NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics ERP solutions.
  • Technology enabled business transformation.
  • Corporate Performance Management.
  • Data analytics.

Our clients range from regional businesses to FTSE100. Our goal is to become the partner of choice with our clients, providing long term advisory, delivery and support services through a more personal and tailored approach.

About the role

RSM’s graduate apprenticeship in technology consulting offers top quality career development. From day one, you will join with trainees across the firm to receive core training in accounting and soft skills. Alongside this you will benefit from specific technical skills training focussed on our technology consulting services, for example NetSuite or Microsoft Business Central.

Following your basic enablement, you’ll join colleagues in delivering live client engagements. No two journeys will be the same, as each client experience is different, but you’ll have the opportunity to learn from experienced members of the team and understand how technology projects are delivered. This hands-on experience is invaluable as you take the next steps in your career.

Recognising that finance is at the heart of our technology projects, when you join our team you’ll work towards the ACA qualification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW), or your Chartered Accountancy (CA) qualification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS). You will also benefit from a wide variety of internal and external training that will help you develop in the role.

What we look for

We’re on the lookout for students with a ‘can-do’ attitude who are prepared to work hard and take on high levels of responsibility. We also look for team players who enjoy interacting with others and are curious about how digital technology can generate real benefit for businesses.

You may be working on multiple projects at the same time, so time management and organisational skills are key. Confidence with numbers and business awareness is a must, but you’ll also need excellent communication skills and be able to forge strong working relationships with people from all backgrounds. Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential.

If that sounds like you, we know you’ll enjoy being part of our team.
