This is an exciting opportunity to be part of one of the biggest growth areas in the energy market. This role is based in the finance team that supports RWE’s global offshore wind development business. Working in this team you will get a great overview of the opportunity and challenges of this dynamic renewables business.
Key Tasks
- Support the production of the monthly reporting for the offshore business. This can include preparation of required accruals, produce reports and detailed analysis on the resource and non-resource costs
- Help the development and implementation where necessary Controlling related processes and tools for new projects including project set up, company set up, drawing on accounting and IT related support as necessary
- Support the budgeting/forecast cycle by coordinating with the projects and the central offshore team as necessary on processes and inputs.
- Produce key performance indicators and progress reports for submission into a monthly Steer Co pack for review by all senior Development and Functional stakeholders
- Support the monthly resource recharge process to the projects in the region.
- Support the senior financial controller in any ad hoc tasks as required.
Key Skills
- Working towards or recently completed a university degree in business administration, finance or Controlling or similar numerical field of work
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Proactive approach to tasks
- Knowledge of the basic renewables market structures preferable but not essential
