Role and responsibilities

The Technical Product team manages the engineering and software aspects of all product launches within our IT & Mobile (IM) division. You will play a role in the launch of all IM products in the UK and could get involved in a variety of projects, from producing our ‘How To’ videos that accompany many of our launches, to ensuring that operators and networks approve all future Samsung IM products and features in the UK.

Some of the things you could be involved in are:

  • Executing the content and services strategy with a focus on the technical implementation of new services and their integration into IM products
  • To assist the Head of Technology within the management of services including Samsung Bixby, Pay, Health, Cloud, Themes, Connect and VR
  • To help on-board suitable content partners in order to deliver strategically important apps to the Samsung UK Smartphone, Tablet and Wearable market, ideally on an exclusive or first to market basis.

To be successful in this role you ideally have;

  • PC Literate, with strong working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of app development processes
  • Deep understanding of the digital marketplace with particular reference to smartphone, wearables and tablets
