What you can expect

At SAP, we have a wide variety of technology placement opportunities including Software Engineering, Technical Support & Information Systems Associate.

As an Information Systems Associate you will work on a variety of projects, supporting IT staff in managing applications and infrastructures using a wide range of technologies. You will support business applications running on servers running Windows Operating Systems; both at Server and Desktop level, plus any other IT related Systems. You will also be responsible for completing maintenance and ensure all Incident or Service Request/Jobs are actioned as per the Service Level Targets.

Technical support engineer associate

As a Technical Support Engineer Associate you will join a team of highly trained engineers to support some of SAPs largest customers, founded in the fortune 100 list. You will use your knowledge, problem solving and soft skills to meet rapidly evolving customer requirements and provide solutions or workarounds to the customer’s technical problems. In addition, you will also get exposure to emerging cloud technologies.

Placement students will also be a part of the ‘Next Generation of Support Transformation’, which targets involvement in activities and projects, to provide a challenging experience with global impact. SAP supports multiple areas within advanced enterprise application software, and therefore provides fantastic exposure to a wide variety of SAP and partner technologies.

Software engineer associate

As a Software Engineer Associate you will be part of Context-driven Services (CDS). This is an area of SAP Commerce Cloud that provides real-time customer experience personalisation, which drives conversion, raises order value, and increases customer satisfaction and loyalty. The CDS teams produce and deliver innovative software according to Agile and DevOps principles - responsible for the development, automated testing, deployment, monitoring/alerting, scaling, and continuity of the public cloud services. You will Learn about, and contribute to, all elements of the development lifecycle and will be given the opportunity to demonstrate your abilities and learn valuable, relevant, and highly sought-after new skills

Presales solutions associate

As a Presales Solutions Associate you will be working as part of an innovative and dynamic team, with a strong focus on presales consulting and special projects. As part of this role you will develop SAP Solution and Industry knowledge. You will receive presales training and gain experience across the full sales cycle. You will provide secondary support for presales videos and content for customer engagements, with the opportunity to also support Presales Operations – management reporting for weekly delivery of deal tracking, management analytics, presales activity and investment reporting.

Presales technology innovation associate

As a Presales Technology Innovation Associate, you will be working as part of an innovative and dynamic team, with a strong focus on creating software prototypes that showcase SAP solutions. You will also be involved in special projects focusing on areas such as Digital Hackathons, Technical Academy workshops and supporting various Corporate Social challenges. As a placement student you will be given training in all aspects of presales, including SAP solution and industry knowledge, cloud platform development, software prototyping, presentation skills and customer-facing demonstration delivery and you will gain experience of the full customer buying cycle.

Who you are

  • Good organizer, priority driven, and able to multitask to meet service priorities
  • Communicate effectively with good customer focus
  • Software Knowledge: Microsoft Office: Excel, Power Point & Outlook, Communication software, Programming skills, circuit design and robotics
  • Organised/co-ordination
  • Teamwork/collaboration: develop strong relationships with team to pool resources effectively when required; support other team member objectives, especially those that overlap with own
  • Creative Problem Solving: Ability to think on feet and outside the box- challenge “this is the way we’ve always done it” mentality
  • Student in penultimate year of university
  • Studying a degree from any discipline
  • Available to start the 13-month placement in July 2022
  • Good technical configuration and troubleshooting skills with all Windows operating systems (for technical support)
  • Troubleshooting skills, ability to follow logical process to determine fault causes and follow to resolution (for technical support)
