Job summary

Reservoir simulators are complex, scientific codebases. Developing this software requires an understanding of the physics of reservoir simulation, the mathematics of numerical solution of partial differential equations and the computer science of high performance computing. We have just released the first full GPU version of the INTERSECT reservoir simulator, and we are looking to extend the range of functionality running on GPU. This internship will work on the extension of GPU functionality, producing CUDA code to implement our current CPU physics. You will experience developing industrial, high performance software for an increasingly important hardware architecture.

Essential responsibilities and duties:

Writing numerical software for GPU, with a view to extending our commercial GPU offering. This may be experimental or a direct contribution to our next commercial offering.

Qualifications

Penultimate or final year student, studying towards Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or related field.
