Job summary

You will be part of a team who are responsible for manufacturing and delivery of drilling & measurements tools and would collaborate on a regular basis with other teams such as TLM and Software.

You will your engineering skills to develop, validate, and implement automated test systems and software workflow for our products. Since our tools are extremely complex due to the nature of the environment they function in, the test equipment to test their functionality are bespoke and unconventional. With a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with other experts (software engineers, electrical engineers, etc) to design these systems. You will also perform planning for test system review, test commissioning, technical documentation, and contribute to the modernization of our manufacturing shop floor.

Essential responsibilities and duties

Your tasks will include:

  • Assessing the current manufacturing test systems and production requirements to define project requirements
  • Come up with concepts, identify required vendors, and present the best solution wrt to cost, robustness, and reliability
  • Development, Validation, and Deployment of the systems on the manufacturing shop floor
  • Development of software workflow for testing of our products

Automation of manufacturing test systems includes learning about different type of equipment (power supplies, communication interface, current sources, etc), controlling them, and interfacing them with our products.

Qualification

Studying towards a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related field.

Competencies

Required skill:

  • Experienced in IDE such as Visual Studio
  • Knowledge of Analog and Digital Electronics
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment Power Supplies, Multimeters, RS485, etc.) and their control
  • Knowledge of industrial test platforms such as NI LabView, TestStand, etc
  • Ability to think outside of the box and creative
  • Positive attitude & willingness to learn
  • Excellent at verbal and written communication (English)
  • Skilled in teamwork, service oriented and quality minded.

Exposure to any of the following would be a plus:

  • Interest in other métiers (software, electrical)
