The department

 Schroders Greencoat LLP (formerly “Greencoat Capital LLP”) was founded in 2009 and has become one of the largest investment managers of its kind in Europe.  Our investment strategies focus on wind, solar and bioenergy which support the UK’s commitment to net zero and accelerate the global transition to a low-carbon economy. We are the leading renewable infrastructure investment manager with approximately £9bn under management and investments in over 295 renewable energy generating assets across the UK, Europe and US.

The program

Our 2025 Summer Internship Programme starts on Monday 9 June 2025 and runs for 10 weeks ending on Friday 15 August 2025. The programme will provide insight into the renewable infrastructure sector by gaining exposure to the capital raising process from origination to deal execution, and the operation of renewable energy assets.  You ‘ll have exposure to the day-to-day technical and financial asset management workflows of managing renewable energy assets. You’ll also be given training and introduction into our business and the world of renewal asset management. There will also be opportunities to attend client meetings and site visits.

Some of your core responsibilities will include

  • Exposure in an asset management team to the financial, technical and commercial aspects of managing renewable energy assets
  • Assisting in monitoring Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) performance across assets
  • Supporting with monthly and quarterly reporting including operational performance and financial performance against budgets, cashflows and P&L
  • Assisting in the monitoring of operational and analysis on performance data where required
  • Support with contract management and administration, including data and document management
  • Assisting with portfolio wide initiatives/projects to optimize asset management processes
  • An opportunity to visit one of our renewable energy sites where appropriate
