Scott Brownrigg are proud to be among the very first practices in the UK to offer modern apprenticeships in architecture to prospective new architects. As one of the Trailblazer practices that led the development of the Modern Apprenticeship Standard for Architecture our Apprenticeship in Architecture provides an equal alternative path to becoming an Architect. We have worked tirelessly to promote this route amongst other practices, students and universities.
We are delighted to be seeking an additional Level 7 Architecture Apprentice to join our London studio working on a range of exciting projects both in the UK and abroad.
This is where you map your future career. Scott Brownrigg apprenticeships are an integrated “earn and learn” route open to people of any age looking to pursue qualifications in architecture. We emphasise in-practice experience, combining work-based learning with academic training.
You will have an opportunity to demonstrate your passion for design, together with your co-ordination, innovation and technical expertise to help design and deliver great projects that not only exceed our clients’ expectations but also reflect our vision and values.
We work collaboratively, with all of our projects benefiting from the invaluable experience and enthusiasm that our accumulated knowledge brings.
We would love to find an architectural apprentice with a particular interest in and aptitude for digital design tools who is creative in their approach and can bring fresh talent and capability to our friendly international team.

About our Apprenticeship Level 7
- Duration: 4 years
- Training provider: Oxford Brookes School of Architecture
- Course attendance: block learning approach that also includes research based study
- On completion, you will achieve Master's degree (MArchD) in Architecture (Part 2) as well as a Part 3 validated qualification following an End Point Assessment.
- You will work as an employee at Scott Brownrigg, earning a salary and with full access to all our opportunities and benefits
- At least 20% of your total contracted time will be dedicated to off-the-job training
- Mentorship and support as well as a range of in-house workshops and seminars
- Course fees: paid through Scott Brownrigg’s Apprenticeship Levy Fund

Your skills, qualifications and experience:
- You will have a RIBA Part 1 accredited Architecture degree. with A-level qualifications in English and Maths (A-C)
- Any 3D design and BIM related qualifications or awards would be an advantage
- A working knowledge of digital tools, preferably Revit and associated BIM applications and plug-ins.
- Be able to present both verbally and visually using software and hand drawing skills
- Be self-motivated with the ability to work with minimum supervision
- Have a special interest in developing digital design and skills

Eligibility requirements
The apprentice must:
- Have the right to work in England
- Be a citizen of a country within the European Economic Area (EEA) or have the right of abode in the UK and have been ordinarily resident in the EEA for at least the previous three years before the start of the apprenticeship, or be a non-EEA citizen with permission from the UK government to live in the UK (not for educational purposes), and have been ordinarily resident in the EEA for at least the previous three years before the start of the apprenticeship
- Spend at least 50% of their working hours in England over the duration of the apprenticeship
