IT Graduate
Delivering improved IT services and innovative technical solutions, our Networking, Infrastructure, Service Delivery and Operations and Architecture Team are a highly skilled and agile team who deliver, maintain and secure our network and underlying Infrastructure platforms. Working with the Global IT Team, we play a critical role in safeguarding the network as well as ensuring that the business, and our employees, have the hardware and software necessary to deliver. We’re the cornerstone of the IT function.
To join us as an IT Graduate you can have ANY degree, because we’re interested in your enthusiasm for learning, your creativity and your vision. From day one we’re invested in your development and will provide you with extensive training in each of our specialisms, allowing you to understand how the functions are interconnected so that by the end of the programme you’ll be an IT expert.
You could be scoping business requirements and delivering IT solutions, deploying essential hardware and software or facilitating network connections. Your placements will give you all round experience of IT to help you explore your strengths and identify the career path that’s right for you. Surrounded by highly experienced IT professionals, you’ll be supported and mentored to achieve a successful career in IT.
You’ll start your journey within Service Delivery and Operations, working with business contacts to understand business requirements and put projects into production. This first placement provides you with behind-the-scenes insights and creates the foundations of your IT knowledge.
You’ll then move into our Servers and Clients team, where you’ll play a key role in deploying and tracking the physical infrastructure required for our business to operate. This could be building and issuing laptops to our office-based employees or configuring Toughbooks for our field-based colleagues. You might support our Tech Bar, or you could be managing the contracts involved in delivering these essential IT services.
Your next placement in Networks and Communications will build your understanding of how the network is connected. You’ll learn about the intricacies of local and wider networks, including storage solutions, and take the lead in delivering new business services. You might be involved in connecting a windfarm network to the corporate network, facilitating the use of vital corporate applications.
Or you could be scoping requirements for the deployment of an IT Application, deciding whether cloud-based or on-premise is the best approach. And with the accumulation of this knowledge, you’ll have an appreciation of the end-to-end IT process setting you up nicely for your final placement in Architecture. Using your knowledge of the other functions, you’ll have the ability to assess and review the services that we deliver and the servers we use to make recommendations for improvements and upgrades.

We want to hear from you if you have, or expect to achieve, an Honours Degree (or equivalent) at a minimum of 2:2 in ANY SUBJECT. In our team, we’re not restricted by degree disciplines.
