The Consumer Insights & Data Analytics Intern will work closely with the Head of Consumer Insights & Data Analytics to use numerical and analytical talent to objectively assess the beauty market performance and identify growth opportunities for our brands.

Main responsibilities 

You will be responsible for the objective assessment of the market, retailer and shopper landscape to identify growth opportunities that can fuel and inform retailer, category and brand strategies.

  • Responsible for setting up new tools to monitor our performance on retailers’s e-commerce platform
  • Support the Head of Consumer Insights and Business analytics manager delivering monthly market analysis and Shiseido’s brands core KPIs from various sources of data sets - panel data (NPD), analytics (Google analytics, Similarweb), in-house sell-out data, CRM customer data Health Check, PR and social visibility
  • Responsible for setting up from scratch a distribution tracker
  • Support the Head of Consumer Insights on specific market / consumer / shopper retail  surveys or trends

Profile

  • Proficient using Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel, comfortable with numbers, spreadsheets, Pivot table and creating tables and graphs.
  • Excellent analytical acumen and numerical capabilities, precise, great attention to detail and with critical reasoning skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and excellent time-management skills
  • Curious, hands on approach and willing to learn
  • Excellent written and oral English and the ability to communicate concisely
  • Ideally a graduate in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or quantitative social sciences like Economics and Business Studies
  • A strong interest in the beauty industry
  • Educated to degree level
