About the role

What you'll be doing

This is an opportunity to join a team of highly motivated individuals, who work with customers across the electronics industry to design the most complex hardware and software systems in the world.

This paid training program will give you the opportunity to learn about Design-for-Test (DFT) methodologies with our Tessent suite of products. You will be part of our DFT team, supporting our customers in Europe.

Building effective and valuable relationships is central to the roles found in our organisation, as well as developing expertise towards solutions and design. So naturally, you will be given a full training plan, mixing mentoring, on-the-job training, technical and business skills classes, to help you develop all the expertise needed to own your future career in our company.

Upon successful completion of this 12-month training program, you will be eligible to apply for one of these post program opportunities: Field Application Engineer, Corporate Applications Engineer and Technical Marketing Engineer positions.

This position is located in Newbury, Berkshire.

Your qualifications

We would love to hear from you if you have;

  • Recently graduated with a bachelor or master’s degree in Electronic or Computer Engineering.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, you should be able to present a point of view in an effective way and articulate our EDA Siemens Software approach to solution adoption.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, with a high level of motivation and results orientation.
  • A collaborative mentality, being able to work with a variety of stakeholders (including engineers and senior managers), but also a self-starter who can show initiative and work autonomously are traits we value. At times, you will work on your own and you need to collaborate with different teams globally.

Familiarity with the following would be preferred: UNIX, Linux, Verilog (Behavioral, RTL, gate level), VHDL (Behavioral, RTL, gate level), Perl, TCL, C/C++

If you have work experience then, it would be a plus having: Semiconductor knowledge, DFT methodology and hands-on implementation on real projects, understanding of RTL IC flows and Backend IC flows
