As a Graduate Business Support Manager, you will become a key member of our Building Services facilities management team responsible for providing engineering maintenance services to a portfolio of commercial properties. You will support business development within the Commercial Property Maintenance (CPM) sector, including supporting the mobilisation and ongoing operation of new contracts.
What you’ll do
- Learn and embed yourself within the CPM business – develop an in-depth understanding of all aspects of the business including operations, commercial and business development
- Represent CPM at client meetings and build and manage existing and prospective client relationships
- Support bid management, including writing and proof-reading quality submissions and supporting the estimating of new and existing business, whilst ensuring adherence to Skanska Preconstruction governance
- Support any additional business opportunities that will deliver client satisfaction and increase contract sales revenue
- Create, present and manage Customer Engagement Plans for CPM
- Populate, develop and maintain Client Relationship Management system to enable effective management of customer relationships and pipeline reporting
- Develop customer knowledge to support work winning and delivery
- Organise and assist in hosting business related events and functions
- Management and delivery of reports required by either client or CPM management team
- Support and eventually lead the mobilisation of new contracts into CPM
- Complete any other tasks as reasonably requested by CPM senior management or the client
Who you are
- Studying to degree level or having completed a degree in Business Studies or similar
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain customer relationships
- Able to influence others effectively, including senior management
- A self-starter who manages their own time and seeks to add value to the function
- Able to gather, analyse and evaluate facts
- Able to pay attention to detail and see things through to completion
- Can deliver reports orally and written in an objective and persuasive manner
- Have strong written communication and bid writing skills
- Interested in starting a career within Building Services sector and progressing within the team

As part of the Graduate programme, you will have a clearly defined learning pathway to develop your technical and soft skills. You will build a strong professional network with exposure to our leaders and gain project management and technical skills for the future through completing a digitalisation project. You will also spend a week away completing a practical skills workshop to gain a wider understanding of the Construction industry.
