The Human Recourses department is a key staple within Sony Music. Our multi functional team spearheads all things people at Sony, our employees are our focus and we all have a passion for creating the best workplace for all. There are 3 main teams, Operations, Learning and Development and Talent Acquisition and we all work closely together across different projects.

The Role

This role works closely with the Director of Diversity, Inclusion and Social Impact and the wider HR team. The role will help to influence and shape our D&I and HR agenda helping us to create an inclusive environment where all staff at Sony Music can thrive.  You will have the opportunity to learn about the business from so many avenues and build great relationships. 

The Team

We are a fun and vibrant team who often socialise outside of work times. We are firm believers in bringing your whole self to work and made up of lots of different personalities! There is always music on in the HR department, we have an eclectic taste and always welcome new suggestions!

What You’ll Do

  • Research the latest developments in Diversity and Inclusion providing thoughts and ideas on how we can make an impact.
  • Work with HR team to collate and analyse diversity data trends helping us make our programmes and ways of working more effective.
  • Work with employee resource groups to create and maintain a communications calendar.
  • Help plan and deliver events for employees and external stakeholders
  • Help create content for our internal and external communications channels that inspire and engage our audiences.
  • Diary management for VP, HR and Director, D&I and Social Impact
  • Providing adhoc project support to the HR Generalist and L&D team as required.
  • Liaise with global D&I teams to share best practice and feed local initiatives into global framework

  • Labels: get to know the needs of each label and their HR partner and how best to support their D&I needs
  • Learning: Help to ensure D&I considerations built into learning programmes
  • Engagement: Be a point of contact for employees and external enquiries

Who you are

  • Excellent communications skills
  • Strong interest in Diversity and Inclusion and HR
  • Good organisational skills
  • Experience working with Graphic Design and moving image
  • Experience with InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Administrative and events experience would be beneficial
