Procurement

Your Role

As part of your 12-month internship programme you will be integrated into the European Procurement team as a pivotal member with the opportunity to make a significant contribution. Working in a dynamic fast paced environment, with the opportunity for rotational placements, this is truly an environment in which to develop an in-depth Procurement understanding and achieve meaningful personal development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Category Management teams (Business Services, Advertising & Promotion and Engineering & Professional Solutions) with the development, co-ordination, and implementation of strategic sourcing plans.
  • Support the successful delivery of departmental performance metrics to deliver continuous improvement - incl. contract coverage and supplier payment terms.
  • Liaising and building successful relationships with internal stakeholders and external third-party suppliers
  • Prepare and conduct fact-based supplier negotiations in support of strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively to develop and implement robust contractual agreements, ensuring alignment to relevant legal terms and conditions and commercial best practice.
  • Ensure the successful post-contract delivery of goods and services through application of appropriate Vendor Management activities.

Your Profile

  • Undergraduate student studying Business Management or Economics as part of a sandwich course.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to adapt to a fast paced, international working environment.
  • Ability to articulate written and verbal
  • Proficient ability with Excel and PowerPoint
  • A keen instigator and manager of innovation and change
  • Numerate and logical – able to make and justify data-driven decisions
  • Fluent in English, additional European languages are advantageous
  • Ability to travel, nationally and internationally when required.
