This is an exciting opportunity for either a graduate or undergraduate working towards or already possessing a degree in Business Studies or related disciplines to make a big impact on the way in which South Wales Police recruits, engages and develops our employees.

Working within our Learning and Development arena, you will be confident, hardworking and passionate about making a difference to our employees.  You’ll work closely with the diverse teams within the Learning & Development and with the Senior Management Team as well as our colleagues in the Human Resources teams and, amongst other activities will:

  • Support day to day activities and projects and be instrumental in the planning of key projects supporting organisational development.

Support accredited programme leads (including apprenticeship programmes) and provision of analysis and interpretation of the programme(s) data.

Your planning will provide key stakeholders and other internal customers with guidance on next steps for projects and you will be the initial contact in dealing with queries.

You will possess excellent interpersonal skills to act as the first point of contact and advise and resolve issues. You will also be to have the confidence to network with key stakeholders and develop professional relationships

The programme commences September 2022. In order to be eligible for the intern programme you will need to be studying for a degree and looking for a ‘sandwich placement’ or alternatively you will have graduated within 3 years. Please note that all applicants will have to complete pre-employment checks.

This role is not suitable for part time/job share workers due to operational requirements.

The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to RV Vetting.

Please be aware that if your current post is within the Public Service Centre, if you were employed after 1st February 2017 you must have completed 2 years’ tenured service before applying for any other roles.
