We understand that a graduate programme isn’t for everyone, so we have opportunities to move straight into a full-time job. In Financial Markets, we offer a wide range of junior Analyst positions across Sales, Trading, Structuring and Financing for individuals who know that they want to kick start their careers in Financial Markets.

Our strengths include trading foreign exchange, rates, credit and commodity products as well as financing and arranging debt issuance; all augmented by our award-winning Research team and eCommerce capabilities, delivered through our dedicated Sales Teams.

Strategy

Financial Markets - Trading

Trading functions spanning across Foreign Exchange, Rates, Credit and Commodities are primarily responsible in generating revenue out of trading positions and market making for our inter-bank counterparties and responsible to price and offer extensive products to suit every client’s need. Alongside this our Algo Trading Quant team apply quantitative techniques to solve real world business problems, researching, developing and implementing new models that have direct impact to the business. 

Business

  • Aid in the development and implementation of our trading strategy
  • Contribute towards the automation and improvement of product offering to Clients
  • Contribute to the global franchise development reviewing all flows and market movements across the various regions, construct trade ideas and communicate to the wider teams
  • Support the trading desk in many of the day to day processes to support the primary objective of trading financial markets and delivering the firm to our clients
  • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates 
  • Deliver on assigned tasks and projects
  • Contribute towards identifying opportunities for the desks across geographies and client segments.

  • Ensure adherence to all internal and external regulations 
  • Ensure adherence with the obligations to prevent money laundering under the Group Policy and Standards and under local laws and regulations 
  • Contribute towards highlighting any need to update procedures and controls as a result of changes in products, systems, policy or regulations.

Eligibility

We’re interested in people with diverse backgrounds and encourage students from all degree disciplines to apply to our programmes. 

For our Graduate roles, you must 

  • Be in your final year of study for a university degree or higher, or have graduated in the last two years, and  
  • Have the permanent legal right to work in the country you’re applying to. 

Exceptions 

  • For the UK and UAE, we accept applications from candidates requiring visa sponsorship, but priority will be given to nationals of the country in question.  
  • For graduate roles in US, we will not consider applications from candidates seeking Optional Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT) employment.
