As a member of the Enterprise Data team within StoneX Corporate Technology group, you will have significant responsibility and influence in shaping the future of our core data landscape. This role is inherently cross-functional, and the ideal candidate will work across disciplines.

We are looking for someone with a love for data and ability to iterate quickly through capturing business data needs, analysing source data, and creating data models while working in close collaboration with engineering, QA, data analysis, analytics and reporting. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and communication, as well as a belief that data driven processes lead to great products.

Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  • Determine required information to achieve operational objectives or solutions. Identify in-scope systems and data. Test and validate results. Deliver solution to business partners. Maintain solutions and ensures availability.
  • Contribute towards and implement Data Governance processes for managing data. Manage business process flows, systems flows, and data availability to provide timely answers to business questions.
  • Conduct and lead discussions focused on identifying, defining, and documenting business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives and workstreams as required at a contributor level.
  • Liaise with respective teams inside the organization to support, and at times drive, the establishment of end-to-end repeatable business operational processes to unlock business value and engrain capabilities in the organization.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Business, Technology, or related field
  • Previous experience in operations, regulatory, data infrastructure, technology operations, programming, business analysis, data management, or related field
  • Cloud-based technology experience with relational databases and analytical tools
  • Experience in the Commodity Trading, Capital Markets, Trade Surveillance, , FIX Gateway, Books & Record Systems or Market Data
  • Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Ability to take given project end-to-end – efficient communication with Business and Tech, maintain Data Dictionary and other Data Governance supporting documentation
  • Relevant and substantial work experience with business requirement definition and management, structured analysis, process design, use case documentation, and case definition
  • Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to identify where focus is needed and bring clarity to business objectives, requirements and priorities
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills (both verbal and written). Capable of collaborating effectively across a variety of Engineering and Data analyst groups
  • Overall technical understanding of big data, data warehousing, business intelligence, web and other multi-tiered, distributed applications/systems.
