Senior Programmes Officer: Alumni and Post-18
The Sutton Trust is the UK’s leading foundation dedicated to improving social mobility. Founded by Sir Peter Lampl in 1997, the Trust delivers programmes to 7,000 young people each year across the country, rigorous research into the issues of low social mobility and educational disadvantage, and policy advocacy to affect systemic change. The Trust gives opportunities to young people from low and moderate-income backgrounds to improve their chances of accessing top universities and the professions. It seeks to ensure young people reach their potential, regardless of their background, school or where they live.
The Senior Programme Officer: Post-18 is a new role, created to help deliver employability content, events and webinars for the ‘post-18’ cohort of the Sutton Trust alumni community, that will be launched in autumn 2021. The role sits within the Programmes Team and will work closely with the Senior Programme Managers who oversee the Pathways programmes and Alumni Engagement activity. A key element of this role will be coordinating the new Employability Bursary for alumni, from managing the application process through to setting up touchpoints for recipients during the year. This role will also involve maintaining key relationships with external delivery partners and internal stakeholders across various elements of the post-18 activity.
