    The role of the Behavioural Economics Intern is to support in the development and execution of Swiss Re's behavioural science/behavioural economics ("BE") consultancy in the EMEA region. As a BE intern you will apply BE with our clients, working closely with the behavioural economics consultants to support the achievement of Swiss Re Solutions fee-based revenue ambition.

    About the role

    In this role you will support the BE consulting team in a range of activities to help them deliver on their targets and get to experience the full range of tasks required to run a successful BE consulting project.

    The internship can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis. It can last 3 months if full-time and longer if part-time, up to a maximum of 6 months. For example, an internship will last 6 months if completed at 50%. The percentage of full-time work and the length will depend on the agreement of the candidate with the line manager.

    Responsibilities

    • Work on client projects with the BE consultants to deliver applied BE projects. This could include conducting consumer research to diagnose BE problems, helping to design BE solutions, and running A/B tests to test the impact of solutions.
    • Create and update BE marketing and sales materials and help strengthen Swiss Re's thought leadership position in Behavioural Science.
    • Actively contribute your ideas and perspective by drawing on your experience about how we can create, develop, and incubate new behavioural science 'solutions' that can be sources of scalable, repeatable fee revenue.

    About the team

    Swiss Re's Solutions Division is developing and managing services for Swiss Re's reinsurance clients which are predominantly insurers. This gives us the opportunity to leverage our risk knowledge to create value for our clients as well as creates new revenue streams for Swiss Re.

    Our Solutions are services delivered to clients that lead to sustainable fee revenue for Swiss Re in addition to the income from our core reinsurance business. This role sits within our Risk Consulting and Analytics Division. Our BE consulting team applies the insights and learnings to insurance clients globally. Swiss Re is recognised as a leader of BE in the insurance industry.

    About you

    • You have a university degree in behavioural science or related, e.g., economics, psychology, or marketing.
    • You are highly skilled using the MS office suite, i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word. Experience with Qualtrics, Prolific or similar for running quantitative research would be an advantage.
    • You have some applied experience in behavioural science, which could be gained through either coursework or previous work experience.
    • You are a self-starter, proactive, with energy and drive and you have strong communication skills; you can speak clearly and enthusiastically about behavioural science.
    • You are well organized with good time management skills. Previous project management experience would be an advantage,.
    • Fluent English speaker, any other European languages are beneficial (ideally French)
    • Knowledge of, or experience in the insurance industry is an advantage, but not essential.
