Programme Overview

Our outstanding Leadership Development Programme comprises of 4 x 9-months placements. Each successful graduate will undertake tailored programmes across our Market Access, Medical and Marketing functions, as well as formal mentorship from one of our Leadership Team.

By providing a range of opportunities and experiences working across several key business areas, you will rapidly acquire a rounded understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, as well as gaining both technical and leadership skills.

During one or more of your placements, the emphasis will be on interacting with people outside of the organisation; this could involve anything from a customer facing in-field role, working with patient groups or influencing public policymakers.

You will embark on a structured training programme focused on developing some important business skills, which will be relevant regardless of which area of the business you are working in. These will cover topics as diverse as communicating with impact, managing projects and budgets, effective coaching and leadership development skills.

Person Specification

  • Life Sciences Degree or equivalent (incl medicine/ pharmacy). 2:1 or higher grade. Applicants from students in their final year of study will be accepted, with offers contingent on successful graduation.
  • High levels of motivation and drive
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Collaborative approach to problem solving
  • Evidence of potential to develop and take on senior roles in the pharmaceutical industry in due course
  • Relevant work experiences an advantage, but not required
