Tarmac: I bet you’re thinking we just pave the roads, right?

Yes, we do that, but that’s not all we do. We do so much more. We don’t just supply materials – we help to build the homes we live in; the schools our children learn in; and the infrastructure that keeps the UK moving every day. We’re building pride with our local communities. And together, we’re building our future. Now is your chance to join our team to build your own future with us, by being proud of a job well done, ambitious in what you do and collaborative in how you solve challenges.

As well as our operational colleagues at quarries, factories and wharfs all over the UK, we also have functions such as health and safety, HR, finance, legal, marketing and communications. We also have a sustainability team, who help ensure we do business in an ethical way (check out what we’ve done with a few of our sites here).

Our commitment to people development has led us to establish the industry-leading National Skills and Safety Park, where we host events from onboarding and training, to some of our most senior leadership workshops. This state of the art facility will deliver your engaging and informative induction to help kick start your career. You’ll never know who you’ll bump into on site and they’ll always want to know what you’ve been up to! We’ll also ask you to travel from time to time and maybe even do a secondment to a different office to help you develop.

Our graduate scheme will prepare you for your future at Tarmac. It will guide you to make decisions to deliver business impact, learn to present powerfully, communicate effectively and many more key skills. We will provide you with project work and a senior sponsor to help build your network and drive your career.

We are looking for ambitious, proud and collaborative individuals to join us as Finance Graduate. You will be get rotated across all areas of finance giving you an opportunity to understand the finance function. You will also be involved in improving the finance function and helping deliver a continuous improvement approach to our finance department.

It's not about your experience, what grades you got or where you come from. It's about being curious, having a determination to achieve and thriving on a challenge. So, what will you get as part of an industry leading organisation that gives you real responsibility and autonomy from the offset?

Well, you’ll get:
