At Taylor Wimpey we are evolving and for any graduate who is dynamic, adaptable and eager to learn an exciting journey awaits you. The graduate programme will provide you the technical expertise, business breadth and development to be successful and fast track you into leadership.

Our 2-year general programme allows you to become immersed into understanding the housebuilding process.  You will gain a full appreciation of the build life cycle, support functions and understand why Taylor Wimpey is one of the UKs leading housebuilders.  At the end of the programme you will be offered a role in a discipline that aligns to your career aspirations.

The programme

The programme runs for two years and begins with a 4-day residential induction where you will learn more about the business, meet other graduates in your cohort and hear from previous graduates and their journeys.  Over the two years you will also attend various personal development sessions and you will have the opportunity to work on projects both for the business and for charity.

For the first 6 months you will be rotating around the various business functions; land, technical, commercial, sales, construction, finance, and customer service. Once completed you will then undertake 3 x 6-month placements in specific business functions.  In your placement you will be provided with meaningful work whilst still exposing you to the wider operations of that discipline.  These placements will be undertaken at different regional locations dependant on your division.

Each of our graduates will be assigned a buddy which will enable you to settle into your role and have access to a mentor to support your ongoing development.

It doesn't matter if you have no knowledge of the industry or a construction related degree, you'll learn everything you need to know throughout the programme and as you exit the scheme you will be placed within one of business functions.
