Role description

You will work with the Senior members of the dev team to ensure our increasing digital output is kept at a high quality. The role is predominantly a Front-end development role but may require some digital advertising development utilising HTML5 and motion animation.

Skills required

  • Excellent Semantic HTML mark-up.
  • CSS3 with SCSS/SASS experience.
  • A basic understanding of JavaScript ideally with previous use of React and other JS frameworks like Next.js and JQuery.
  • Experience of implementing responsive layouts with CSS scaffolding frameworks like Bootstrap / Foundation
  • A desire to learn and grow as a developer individually and from the more experienced members of the team

Also

  • Comfortable on both Mac & PCs
  • Proficient in Adobe’s creative suite. Can slice designs from Photoshop, XD InDesign and Illustrator.

Nice to have

  • Some experience with LAMP and MERN Stacks
  • Ability to use HTML mark-up and MJML to build HTML emails.
  • CMS experience (Contenful / Heartcore/ Umbraco)
  • Source control experience (Git / Sourcetree)
  • Some experience with JS task runners (Webpack / Grunt / Gulp)
  • HTML5 Banner software experience with Greensock / Adobe Animate / Google web designer / Native HTML5 animation.
  • Banner platform experience (Google studio / Flashtalking / Adform)

The core things you will be expected to be involved in are

  • Building websites, apps, emails and digital creative.
  • Assist on web builds.
  • Support the rest digital development team in digital deliveries.
  • Manage the delivery of multiple projects at one time.
  • Ensure quality control of final output before is sent to the client for review.
  • Be up to date with digital trends.
